Imperial Stout brewed with barley malt, unrefined cane sugar and hops. Although it is a strong beer, the hops are not dominant. This makes it easier to drink than many other dark beers.

Copenhagen 24/1 2019. 60 cl bottle from Rema 1000. Dark maroon version of Aarhus Brewerys usual design.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue and a small light tan head. Settles as thin layer of foam just barely covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is pretty intense and very much on the sweet side. Sweet molasses, cocoa, chocolate, spicy tobacco. Manages to overpower the alcohol lurking in the background.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly weaker bitterness. Not as intense as expected. Aftertaste is sweetish and fairly short lived. light alcoholic burn.
Pleasant Imperial Stout that could use a little more power in the flavor. But not bad.
