Copenhagen 23/8 2017. 60 cl bottle from Rema1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Rolling sea with birds and a Viking Ship thrown in for good measure on the label. It says on the label that it is recommended for a Viking Stew (whatever that might be).
Pours mahogany brown with white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet caramel with strong sour notes. Metallic notes of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is rather sweet. Followed by medium sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet caramel and alcohol.
I do not know what a Viking Stews consists of. But it has to be a hearty meal to match this.
