Copenhagen 28/7 2017. 60 cl bottle from Rema1000. Painting of the Frigate Jutland on the label.
Pours clear amber with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is strong and slightly harsh. Sweet malts, cider-ish fruitiness and a distinct whiff of alcohol.
Low carbonation and surprisingly thin palate.
Flavor is quite sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet apple.
Hides it high ABV quite well. But a bit too thin to be truly satisfying.

Poured from a 60cl bottle into a Sam Adams lager glass.
A - Clear, red-brown body with a thick light tan head that stayed quite awhile after pouring
S - Malts, floral hops, just a hint of alcohol
T - Roast malts, yeasty biscuit/toast, brown sugar, citrus, finishing with spices and floral notes
M - Smooth, medium bodied, perfect carbonation
O - Overall a very complex lager for what I'm used to. I loved the blend of flavours I found here that made for a very interesting, well balanced lager. Would definitely drink this one again.
