Beer poured a deep amber color with no pop upon opening and no real head but rather a nice ring on the edge of the glass. The aroma was a bit nutty, maybe chestnuts and some definite cherry tones. The taste was very interesting with cherry, cinnamon and I think more chestnut. Overall there was a light body to this beer. An interesting brew.

Drank in 't Oud Arsenaal, Antwerp, out of a Bolleke. Friday afternoon in March 2007, day before Zythos fest.
Looked good, dark red with a good head.
Smelt of cherries, overpoweringly of cherries.
Tasted of fizzy cherries, with marzipan and sweet/bitter citrus notes.
The taste stayed, with the marzipan hanging around longer than the other flavours.
Not really my 'cup of tea', but OK.
