Tried this nice one at Moeder de Gans in Teuven.... stopped there en route from Maastricht to Val Dieu on my rental bicycle.... a 0.25l pour set me back €5.95.... This is their house Tripel made exclusively for Moeder de Gans.
Poured a lovely, clear golden.... really a brilliant hue! Had light carbo and a creamy, soft, stark white head. Kicks back at 1/4" with excellent lacing. Had a bready, crackery nose with hints of pear, green apple and some pepper. Was solidly medium in body, and for feel on the tongue.
Flavor followed aroma, with dry, crackery malts, light green apple, pear, white grape, and a light, spicy, peppery finish. A solid libation to hold me over until I reached Val Dieu!! Prost!!
