Pours brown, lighter brown head 1/4". Aroma gave off substantial coffee.
Dark roasted malt segues into acrid bitterness. Solid heft in the mouthfeel, no skimping on malt or coffee. Was also sweet, which I guess made it slightly complex given the bitterness, the roastiness, the heft and then that, on top of the coffee notes.
Closed now, but this was one of the better things they offered back in the day. Gentrification yo.

No surprises hear, a dark brown beer and beige head, wafting massive amounts of coffee.
Astringent bitterness melds well into big dark roasted malt, full of more coffee and chocolate. Hopping did something here. This was the first big coffee beer I was exposed to, and to be honest, I didn't like it the first time. But boy it grew on me. Mouthfeel finishes sweeter than the rest of the beer. One of Pyramid's better efforts.
