Harris Teeter (Hollymead Town Center - 132)

 

 

This is the Harris Teeter up north of town in Hollymead Town Center. It has a decent beer selection, but just a shadow of what the one down in Barracks Road has. The emphasis here is more on the macro stuff (though the selection of that is outstanding). On the micro side, it has decent selections, including regionals like Victory and Troegs and nationals like Stone, though not comprehensive selections. Where it falls to the other Harris Teeter is in its local selection. It does pretty well on Star Hill (which I don't much care for), but it is spotty on others such as Blue Mountain, Legend, St. Georges (though it usually does have the 8-beer sampler pack). It does not have the extensive selection of 22 oz bottles the other one has.

This is a good place to stop if you aren't looking for anything specific, but if you are after something special, or your tastes are quite wide ranging, head a few miles south to the better-stocked stores south of Rio Road.
