This is a really tasty beer from Blue Monkey Brewery in Eastwood, Nottingham - I had the beer about 1.5 miles from the brewery and it sure does travel well and was very well kept at the Three Tuns pub also in Eastwood.
The beer pours a lovely light golden colour with a good, creamy (but not overly so) head. This head offsets some of the natural hoppiness giving a clean taste on the palate.
This is a very moreish beer and certainly "sessionable". Indeed I had three UK pints (20oz) in just over an hour it was so tasty!

Brewed with Citra hops from the US.
Hand-pulled pint in Ye Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 29 Jun 2013.
Very pale in looks, weak urine yellow in fact: good white bubbley head that tried to stay the distance, but failed.
As you'd expect from a brew using Citra hops, this leaned heavily towards a citrus based flavour and aroma.
I know this beer is very popular with a lot of Real Ale drinkers and craft beer fans alike, but I'm fed up with so may 'samey' tasting brews using citrus flavours to refresh us Brits: I want deep amber brews with a malt and hop balance when I go into a pub, not this 'new wave' of light lager look alikes with lemon duck toilet cleaner as a base!
I've tried to score objectively.
