From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles. In Teku glass. Playing Unepic. Bad aspect (no foam). Bad taste, a bit acid. Probably another contamined beer from Club del Gourmet. Even the new arrivals are in bad shape there.

330ml green bottle. Guinness Pint glass. Deep amber color, crystal clear appearance. Off-white, thick & creamy crown. Yeasty aroma, vinious & metallic odors. Slight tartar & toasted malt notes at first sip. Light body. Soft carbonation. Watery texture. Herbal & citric bitterness & spicy touch. Bitter finish & woody hues on the aftertaste.

A: poor red color opaque look thin and with an uncolored head.
S: low smell not really intense, not a malty or defined little sweetness.
T: same as with smell low profile, nothing complex poor elaboration.
M: not ending at all almost like water nothing impressive.

A: brownish hues, not red at all, some carb but no head is formed, just a tiny one, traslucent nothing amazing according to the style
S: pretty bad smell, old, some wasted fruit and vinager stuff over there
T: very tiny sweet tones, in the middle appears a bad taste, rotten apple and fruit, is almost like a bad flavoured soda
Very ligth body not what expected on an red ale

Short red ale, not a terrible attempt but it is a step behind mediocre.
Presentation: 33 cl green capped bottle. Pagoa branding with a red range and a centerpiece symbol of a fan/flower. Label offers perfunctory legal notes, ingredients, and best by date (07-12). Shows Alc. by Vol. (4.6%). Served in a tall glass.
A - Light amber pour with a generous frothy head, good retention and surface memory with some spots of lace.
S - The initial salute to the nose is pretty horrid with a skunky touch, very assertive rotten and off putting whiff coating a bit of caramel. The splash luckily fades leaving tainted light caramel note.
T - Tiny caramel coated water, with a touch of hops. The caramel malt sense is a bit roasted without much else going for it.
M - Light body with poor carbonation, very watery despite a final tingly touch.
D - Something in the final flavor rescues the brew from putting it down altogether but it is close.
Notes: While it is nice to see local attempts at craft beer this one is pretty short, and one wonders if the local edge might be but a gimmick to push the product. They need to work on the beer before this is worth the pride... Surprising that they have been around for almost 10 years.
