From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles. In Ikea's pilsner glass. Watching 50 Shadows of Grey. Typical pilsner aroma. Little carbonation. It has a bit of a rancid taste. Maybe its because it was a few days after its best before date. In any case it seems non-repeatable

330 ml. bottle. Golden colour, with a medium head that fades away sonn, leaving a small lace. Smell of hops, grains, honey. Medium body, palate is kind of sticky, because the honey hint in it. Taste of grains, honey, caramel, I think there's a hint of melon too. It's not at all what one can expect of a pilsner, but it's pretty good.

Pours a light copper, with no head, and some thin tracing along the top. Dullish.
Aroma is standard euro-lager, with a somewhat larger than usual hit of sulfur. Some notes of plum and muted orangish hops.
Taste has a sweetish edge, with a gritty, albeit muted bitterness on the back end. Somewhat one-note, and not a very distinctive note at that.
Mouthfeel is fairly nice, with a blanket of bubbles. Could stand to be a bit stiffer to beat back the sweetness, but so be it.
Overall, not a very interesting beer, and certainly not on the level of the other euro-lagers available in the Basque country. If you must drink lager, pass on this and get an Estrella Galicia instead.

Mediocre take on a Pilsner, in line with the low bracket of Euro macro lagers...
Presentation: 33 cl green capped bottle. Pagoa branding with a yellow/cream range and a centerpiece symbol of spirals. Label offers perfunctory legal notes, ingredients, and best by date (07-12). Shows Alc. by Vol. (4.9%). Served in a tall glass.
A - Pale yellow pour with a good frothy head, medium to short retention, faint surface memory and almost no lacing.
S - Skunky whiff, after trying other Pagoa brews it almost feels like their signature. Albeit it is not so strong here and given the style it is almost well integrated. A small hoppy touch lingers over a grainy sense.
T - The taste predictably follows the nose with a touch of hops that is more bitter than anything else, although it is relatively light. Shy malty sense lingering, distantly bready with an adjunct touch to it. Supposedly this is an all malt craft brew, but a touch lingers in an opposite direction...
M - Almost appropriate for the expected light beer market it may want to fit into. Light body, with fair carbonation initially, feeling a bit short afterward.
D - This could be more acceptable, on the refreshing worry free and I got no other choice camp, if the skunky touch were properly tamed.
Notes: Again good luck with the Basque local branding cause frankly it seems to be all that this brewery has going for it. Ironically this might be the best offering as of today from Pagoa, which really does not say much about their brews. The idea that this brew could be fit for consumption two years from now like the label suggest is quite ridiculous.
