500ml bottle, tulip, looks like best by 2/27/20.
Effervescent, ever so slightly hazed light gold with a voluminous white head. The retention is serious; after a couple minutes there is still a solid finger on top with lots of lacing.
Crisp, mineral, cut grass, grain.
Initial banana mixed with crackers. Still crisp and the finish is a mix of crisp bitterness and herbal flavors you would find in a Hefeweizen. It’s an interesting mix that works.
Again, the brewer has struck a balance between the dry crispness of the Pils and softness of the Weizen. It finished very clean.
This beer is very well executed, but the style bending here honestly has me scratching my head. A crisp Hefeweizen? Or a fruity German Pilsner?
