On cask for Cask & Ye Shall Receive held at MacLeod Ale Brewing Company in Van Nuys, CA.
Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, earth, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is very citrus hop forward all around.
