On cask at Strand Brewing Company in Torrance, CA.
Pours a murky dark brown with a foamy khaki head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cookie dough, cocoa, and alcohol. Taste is much the same with smoke and oak flavors on the finish. There is a high amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that smells better than the regular Second Sleep but still doesn't taste all that good.
