Poured from the bottle into a Libbey style pilsner glass. Best before October 26th 2016.
Brass cold body, minimal carbonation through a very crystal glow, nearly a hint of orange as well. Head rocks hard and froths up nicely, big bleach white even creamy looking. Settles with a real nice crown and a bit of ring like lace.
Real dry grain aroma. Hints at ripping barely, dry milled flour and dart bread crust. Kind of almost hints at darker grains. Fascinating. Very malt forward with little noble to spicy hop character if at all.
Palate sticks to the basics. Slightly sweetened pils malt bill, with less of that dryness hinting on the nose coming out in the palate. Simple and very muted hop angle, more malt sweetness on the finish, does manage some good quality honey muted flavor. Solid malt depth, with a little touch of sweetness and a good coating.
It's a solid German pils, but also has a fascinating aroma that I was really hoping would translate into something more unique on the palate. In short it just gets the basics and delivers the goods.

She looks good. Solid golden color, transparent, filled with streams of tiny bubbles. Bright white on top is dense and leaves a few fine strands of lace. Musty, earthy hop aroma with some faintly sweet malt underneath. Lightly sweet malt flavor is almost tangy. Musty/earthy hop flavor kicks in midway and a mild, but full bite that pulls into the finish. Light, crisp flavor with a mild bitter bite and some fine carbonation. Somewhere between average and good I'd say.
