On tap at the pub.

Pours clear, almost filtered looking yellow with a small white head.

Smells of astringent alpha acid. big nodes of simcoe, and some others I cannot place. The hop profile is nice, but that's all there is.

Tastes like the aforementioned super strong hop profile along with a cloyingly sweet back end of malt and lightly medicinal honey. I asked, and the honey is actually added ("to balance out the hops," the bartender says). Remarkably, balance is not achieved, as the sweetness of the back end actually outweighs the strong hop start.

This isn't bad. It pulls off being gigantic and drinkable, which is hard, and it's also nice to see craft brewers trying something new with DIPAs, rather than just releasing hop bombs. The hop profile is well crafted, but the back end is just too damn sweet for me.
