this is exquisite beer, one of the better coffee beers i have had lately, and very sturdy on the coffee aspect, i really dig it. havent had a ton of beer from these guys, but have very much liked the few i have. this is next level, deep and dark, as much a stout as a porter in color, an inch of tan head that holds on, and a lot of body. the oats are obvious in the aroma and the feel, the real provide some substance for this, which is nice to balance the acidity of the coffee and the bitterness too. huge roast on the barley and the coffee both, a neat combination, seemingly more intense and also more refined than others, the oats unite the two incredibly well, smooth and chocolaty too, rich almost, but also very dry, its more complex than others too, its just really rad all the way around. even though the ingredients are somewhat common these days, the way they are assembled in this one is very distinct, the coffee leads the way and runs all the way through it. i would have suspected the abv to be a little higher, not because i can taste any booze, but because there is just so much flavor here, usually reserved for the imperial types, and all the body. overall this is a stunner, absolutely elite level coffee beer, i could mainline this stuff...

Much more carbonation to it than I expect from a porter. Really strong coffee tones in both a aroma and the flavor. I don't like to use to term 'breakfast beer' too much, but this would be a great one.
