Darker golden color with the faintest of hazes. Minor, quickly dying head that is reduced to rim bubbles and no lace.

Clean aroma like a disinfected room. There’s a dark berry fruit in the deep background.

Rich body as expected and quite sweet (even for a Tripel). The warming alcohol, while present, is less than most. The taste experience culminates in the swallow and fades quickly in the aftertaste.

France beer tour, #6
Poured chilled in small tulip glass

A: small, quickly dissipating head; good carb retention; cloudy amber color; no lacing
S: a bit of malt in the nose, but that's about it
T: ooh, very nice; complex sweet flavor; pear, peach, lemon, citrus; slightly hopped; Belgian yeast strain noticeable; boozy, and it tells; very compelling flavor

Carbonation needs to be improved, so that there's a decent head and some lacing. But definitely worth trying when you're around Lyon.

Med bodied, crisp and syrupy mouth feel, fair carbonation.
Strong citrus notes upfront with solid fruity esters.
Nice notes of candied orange, hints of spices, and a lingering hint of lemon grass note.
Finishes clean with a nice lingering earthy yeast note, a touch of alcohol and a nice banana note with some lingering zesty hops.
Overall; well balanced; nice notes and undertones with a great drinkability for the alcohol content.
