Per the can label, "This true Italian Style Pilsner provides an earthy bitterness from its dry hop additions while delivering a slightly bready backbone. Its golden hue projects its brightness from start to finish. Cheers, Paisan!

Had this Italian Style Pilsner at Back Forty, Gadsden, on draft into tumbler.
Pours light straw-yellow, just a bit cloudy with a little sediment, and huge, foamy near-white head, with excellent retention, pulling a little chunky lace down the glass. Herbal and big lime and tart peach aromas off pour, and continuing nicely. On tasting, begins smooth, malty and sweet, then some biting lime, before an earthy, very dry, herbally-bitter finish.
A very boldly-hopped Italian pilsner, fruity, herbal and bitter.

Poured from a freshness dated 12 oz. can: clear, pale golden hue with a sustained foamy white head. While the lager is largely clear, there are some suspended particles floating. It is my understanding that the Italian Style Pilsner is unfiltered.
Because of the dry hopping the aroma is pungent for the style with strong aromas of lemon.
This is my first foray into this relatively new style of pilsner. This version has a strong lemony hop profile that is slightly sour with inviting malt to balance everything. As there was no "Italian Style" listed under "Beer Styles" on Beer Advocate, I chose the closest one to this lager: German Pilsner, though you would probably not confuse this one for a German pilsner.
