Prism Brewing Company "Shady Blonde" (although I see it's now spelled "Blond")
at the brewery on 9 April 2016
Notes: Hazy gold beneath a white head. The blood orange is clear in the aroma, and then even clearer in the flavor - it's full. The malt is biscuity, and the orange gives it a light, refreshing tartness with citrusy & slightly raspberry-like notes. Light to light-medium in body and crisp. Solidly bitter, it's a bit overdone, and that lingers in the finish, hurting its drinkability. It has potential, if they dropped it by 10 IBUs it could be a contender.

Cloudy orange with an orange aroma. Taste is not good for a blonde. It's an IPA. It's pale and bitter which angers me a bit; I was mislead. The taste actually isn't bad but it's not a blonde.

The blood oranges gave this blonde ale a darker then usual color. It was a very refreshing beer with those oranges for natural citrus sweetness. I would serve this up at a summer BBQ.
