Appearance: WoG is a lightly hazy, amber-hued body with a thin, white head.
Smell: Sugary nuts, weak toast. Subtle caramel and a top note of fruit.
Taste: Lightly toasty, lightly nutty, lightly glazed with caramel and a tangy faux fruity element, seemingly from a higher temp fermentation. Lightly floral, citrusy hops with a subtle bitterness. Foremost, it's a fruity finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: While one of the better brews from LAB, it's still a weak offering. Again and again, I find the grub the most appealing part about this place.

Tastes like caramel, but not in the best way.

Poured on-tap at the brewpub and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a deep, vibrant, auburn coloring, with a thin, sparse, white head. Nose of nut sweetness, roasted characteristics, and tangy caramel notes. Mid-bodied, but supportive of the rich nut sweetness. Roasted and rich throughout, with a sugary sweet aftertaste. The finish is slick and clean.
