Pilsner Lager

Solid unfiltered pils, that certainly gives it the cloudly appearance you would expect. Not really much jumped out at me in terms of taste, but it was crisp and refreshing while light on the palette. A good session ale, but I would nothing to write home about either.

This is a German style pilsner with a cloudy golden color because it is unfilterd. The head is white and the beer has a medium lacing. The beer is well balenced between hops and malt. The smell has a slight floral, hop, malt, yeast aroma. Very well Balenced. This would be a good session beer. It tastes alot like the pilsners i have tried in germany.

I was really not sure what to make of this one on the menu, I mean a pilsner lager is just an odd name for a beer, and I really was not sure what was coming at me, but it was clearly a Czech style pilsner when all was said and done and that is rarely a bad thing. Nice medium amber color with a clear look through that showed some nice carbonation bubbling up towards the surface to form a nice and even white head of foam that hung around for a good little bit before heading back down to earth. Aroma is all bready malts, nothing really shocking here, warming brings out a touch of a bittering hop, but nothing that would outshine the predominantly sweet and earthy malts. Light touch of rye on the palate on the first sip, maybe that was me, But I picked it up clearly and quickly. Smooth, even body here, a bit slick at times, but the carbonation helped to rebound that. Light notes on the finish, perhaps a touch of something with bite, again rye? Not sure but finishes semi sweet and lingers for a second before fading away.
 
Overall it was decent and certainly session able. A strange one to mix up the afternoon with and it certainly would be light enough to have a couple of. Not a bad offering at all.
