Enjoyed on-tap @ the Third Base Sports Bar & Brewery in Iowa City, IA for $5. Tapped from the Silver lined tap handle w/ Hopturnal Emissions on it into a 12oz Tulip Glass. Says it has "$*@t Tons" of IBU's on the chart as well.
Aroma- Has good strong hops and has citrus but just a bit. Some bbq hangs out around because of the mixture of hops.
Appearance- Received with a 3.5 finger head that has awesome retention. 1.5 fingers stay entire time! Has a deep reddish copper body. Leaves thick lacing afterwards.
Flavor- Grassy hops and very strong! Good bbq taste and very complexed all the way through. Has a medium-high bitterness level.
Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth, leaves pretzel and bbq, and can tell the ABV's in this are very high.
Overall Impression- Reminds me a ton of the Charleville Ale Mucho Hoppo. Has this bbq taste that is found in this one but now I see that its in these IPA's and isn't a bad thing. This is from the mixture of the hops. See what you think! Definitely one to try next.
