Got this on tap at Brickworks. Nice color: dark brown with red highlights, not much head or lacing to speak of. Smell is caramely, toasty, malty and a little smokey. Taste is quite nice, malty without being sweet, it's balanced with a nice hop back. Has an aftertaste that is like an ashtray. This sounds bad but for this beer it works quite nice! Like a couple other beers I've had from this place, I feel this beer was rushed. It needs a little more time in the fermenter, or maybe just a little time to condition. It's good but it just needs a little more time. I think it's going to get better each time I try it.
