A: Huge strawberry aroma that dominates, followed by clean lactic sourness
A: straw yellow, opaque, almost no head. Darker than most Berliners, which is attributed to blending with Saision and aging on wine barrels
F: Delicious strawberry flavor, followed by vinous sourness, finished with gram-cracker flavors from the wheat; no noticeable hops
M: Medium mouthfeel, slight carbonation
O: Unusual fruit blend. It's listed as a Berliner Weissbier, but it's also a blend of a Brett Saision, aged on wine barrels. First time trying such an unusual blend. I was a little skeptical given that Sudwerk has historically focused on Germanic lagers, but hey times are changing and they've created a great, highly-drinkable beer.
