An IPA brewed to the specs of the Summit IPAs that were brewed by a plethera of CA breweries; all were very nearly the same recipe and feature exclusively summit hops.
Very drinkable IPA with a light malt body. Major alpha acids, as first detected on the nose. Very bitter citrus profile much like white grapefruit zest. Spicy carbonation keeps me from drinking it all in one sip. For those who like their IPAs to be straight-forward, one-dimentional, bitter hop bombs, this is the one for you! Definately right up my alley. Summit hops are interesting to say the least; they lack the fruitiness and depth of many others, incuding high alpha varieties, but make up for it by cold-cocking you with every sip. The body is medium-light, and the mouthfeel isn't particularly resiny or sticky. Long, wonderful fallout of hops. This all makes for a great session ale, at least for those with a high tolorence for alcohol and bitterness. Way different than the normal Sudwerk offerings, which are mostly German lagers (very good ones at that). Cheers!
