This beer is labeled as an ipl: imperial pale lager. It is not a pilsner. This style is a specialty if the brewery and this version does not disappoint. Nice hops smell and flavor and easy drinking for the 10% abv. I have enjoyed a few of these cans and find that it is well crafted and true to style

Dark amber brew with smooth foam in the Maredsous goblet. Pleasing sudsy and lively carbonation, especially with all the alcohol. Flavors of candied citrus dominate. Aroma of fermenting pineapple, peach schnapps, and grapefruit juice.
This is so sweet and powerful it's kind of a hop liqueur. I don't know why they didn't call it a Triple IPA; it's got enough hops for any kind of IPA you like. The stuff is "to the max" with flavor and strength, but it's quite sippable, with care. From the 16 oz can shipped by Bine & Vine in San Diego.
