Had this at the Bistro 22nd double ipa festival. Different getting used to this old school lager brewery in Davis pumping out trendy shit now. I do like the can ocotopus inspired design. Would buy a can just for that. Anyhoo, even though I had this in February 2022, I'm writing the first review for this beer in November 2022 on BA. Sinking ship.
Pours golden, real good clarity for a festival pour. 1/2" scaled up. The aroma goes down the tread path at the festival, Mosaic giving that weed berries bright papaya smell, Cashmere dialing in some Amarillo like citrus notes. Its nice, but is aroma lupulin shift a thing? Didn't bang away at the nose, average pungency that day.
The taste was also mid. Light neomexicanus like sprite lemon lime notes, Mosaic seems to fade pretty hard after its aroma impact. Simcoe gives a sturdy bitterness to the beer without really dropping much in the way of flavor. The alcohol is present, but not terribly grating. Man who is that girl? When you're standing outside the fire. Hello Mary Lou, I'm so in love with you. Malt body is standard pale/honey I would guess.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
