Bottle brought back by my folks from a recent trip to AZ.

Poured very light golden color, with minimal frothy white head.

Smell was some light maltiness, nice earthen smell, with the spiciness of hops lingering behind it.

Really liked tthe way this beer tasted -a very good Kolsch, very true to form, and style. Surprised me how much I enjoyed sampling this beer.

Mouthfeel was crisp and somewhat dry as it finished.

These seem like a beer that would continue to go down smooth and easy as the night went on.

This beer is ever so lightly hazy, it shows a full gold color and is topped by a frothy pale white head. The aroma is yeasty with a hint of spiciness that is a combination of malt and hops, I also pick up a hint of lemon. The taste is dry up front, and actually it is fairly dry throughout. It has been served quite cold, which actually makes this even a bit more refreshing. There is a soft fruitiness that reminds me a bit of banana, though not in the way that a Hefeweizen does. The finish is spritzy from a healthy dose of carbonation and it is bitter from an ample (for a Kolsch) amount of bittering hops. Over all this is light and crisp, just like a Kolsch should be, it also has the characteristic soft fruitiness that one would expect. I do wish that the malt was more evident. This beer is nice and clean, it just needs a bit more malt to balance the carbonation and hop bitterness.

Medium gold color, medium white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Lighter bodied Kolsch. Good malt flavor, subtle hops. Good balance. Carbonation is round and soft. Mouthfeel is soft and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is malty, slightly sweet

The beer pours a clear deep gold color, the head brilliant white, unassuming in size, the lace in fine sheets. Nose is malt, hints of citrus, crisp and clean, quite refreshing. Front is malt, lightly sweet, with middling top and the finish is sparklingly acidic, pertinently hopped, dry as a bone aftertaste. Quite pleasing overall and a good beer when nothing else appeals to me. One of their better beers and one I drink on a regular basis, well worth the effort to sample.
