This beer has a creamy brown head that sits atop a dark, almost black beer. The aroma has notes of roasted coffee and chocolate. This has a smooth creamy taste, with a sharp burnt malt bitterness in the finish. The dark malt notes also contribute a certain acidity to this beer. This is pretty dry and light bodied, but pretty good too.

As it sets in the glass a winsome deep brown to black color with a modest creamy light chocolate head, and as it erodes, the residual lace a fine silky sheet to seal off the glass. The nose a nice sweet malt aroma lightly toasted and hints of caramel and maybe a bit of coffee. Sweet at the malt laden start, top skimpy in its feel to the palate, finish mildly carbonated, the hops purposeful in their spicy bite, dry as a bone aftertaste, a good stout, even if I feel its a bit "Light-waisted".
