Copper in color with an off-white head, this beer sports a moderate malty aroma, but really impresses in the mouth. Starts off with a crisp lager feel which belies its actually substantial body. Malt flavor is strong and sweet, hops are restrained, and alcohol lends a gentle warming and subtle spiciness in the aftertaste, where it joins a newly toasty malt flavor. A nice example of an under-appreciated style, and quite yummy to boot!

I dont know about you, but I always enjoy this time of year for the Mai Bocks, as much as I rant about not being crazy about Lagers and Pilsners, I love Bocks.
The beer pours deep amber to copper color, the head masterful in size, frothy in texture and beige in color and the lace a thick covering upon the glass. Nose is malt laden, sweet, crisp and clean, a real treat for the senses with the start big on the malt, lightly sweet, middling in mouth feel at the top. Finish is delightfully hopped, prickly in its acidity, dry aftertaste and a real nice representative to the style.
