The beer pours a translucent mahogany color; the head modest and frothy in its consistency, as it erodes the lace left behind a fine sheet to seal off the glass. Nose is plummish, sweet malt, caramel, fresh and clean, quite appealing with the start loaded with malt, sweet. Top is middling in its feel, finish as a perky acidity, the hops pleasing in their spiciness, dry aftertaste and a real treat as “Dopplebocks”, are a favorite.
