On tap at the brewpub 5/22/2010.
Pours brown, much too dark for a pale or IPA, and pretty clear. White head, decent head but no retention or lacing.
Aroma is piney hops and a little bit of caramel. Also smells bitter.
Flavor is malty and sweet but also somewhat hoppy. A bit less hoppy than the nose would suggest but over all not a bad pale ale. Seems to be caught half way between a pale and an IPA.
Medium bodied, maybe a bit heavy for a pale, and decently drinkable.
