On tap at the brewpub 5/22/2010.
Pours clear and yellow with some white head a bit of lace. Doesn't look much like a hefe, really more of a pilsner.
Aroma is faintly of bananas and malt. I'm not sure if there really is any wheat in this beer based on the nose.
Flavor is mildly hefeweizenish with the banana presence and maybe even a little pepper but it is also very light and crisp. Something about this brewery is off when every beer is too bitter but has no hop flavor. Both baffling and irritating.
Light bodied and somewhat drinkable. Pass.
