Had this early January as a 4 oz sampler flight of People's Brewing Co. barrel aged offerings at The Pint in West Lafayette.
This was the best Wild Turkey barrel aged beer of the night.
Their black IPA is a great base beer for the barrel to flavor this beer perfectly.
Nose was slight roasted oak with bourbon notes aplenty. The taste was deep roasted malt with slight hop forward presence on the palate. Mouthfeel was great; full bodied.
Finished cleanly with sweetness of the bourbon, very well executed.
I wish they had this bottled cause I would have bought as many as I could.
Definitely the beer of the night.
