22 oz. bottle into a helles glass
A - Moderate pour produces a 1 finge head that is white in color and frothy in appearance. Head dissipates very slowly to a thin lacing with a bit of creaminess around the edges. Beer itself is hazy in appearance and golden amber in color, leaning towards gold. Carbonation is low to moderate in appearance with small bubbles rising slowly towards the surface. 3.5/5
S - Aroma is a combination of sweet and sour. Caramel malt comes through along with the rhubarb sourness. Lemony tartness as well as a bit of white bread comes through under the caramel and rhubarb. 3.75/5
T - Caramel and Belgian candy sugar come out right away. There is a bit of fresh white bread that is present as well. These notes transition into the rhubarb as well as a bit of lemon fruit and white pepper before ending on a floral hop note with just a slight bitterness that does not linger. Fruity and sugary overall which makes for a very sweet flavor. 4/5
M - Slight carbonation tickle on the very front end but this transitions to a light, smooth feeling throughout the rest of the sip. Light to medium bodied in stature. No drying but also not overly hydrating either. 3.75/5
O - Fairly sweet beer that features a light to medium body. Somewhat unexpected for a Tripel style beer. Sweet and tart at the same time although the tartness is not overpowering. This beer leans heavily towards the sweet side of things. 3.75/5
