I've been enjoying Scottish beers for a couple of months now and I tend to enjoy the malty profile affiliated with that style so when i saw this one on the chalk board I had to try it.
A - Strong brown color that you can clearly see through. Light khaki head that subsides. Minor lacing.
S - Very strong malt aroma with caramel and toffee notes. Also light grain tones with no discernible hops.
T - Tons of malt that coats the palate. The flavor is very similar to every other Scottish beer and is very sweet. The caramel and burnt sugar flavors are all over with the maltiness. No bitterness or hops but is still delicious.
M - Strong mouth-feel. Light carbonation. The sweetness and high body make it slightly chewy and hard to drink more than 1 or 2 without feeling like you need to brush your teeth.
Overall, this is a good beer that does sit well in the style . Can't have too many but if you want a malt bomb it is a good choice. It just isn't my favorite beer but I think you should try it especially if you haven't had a Scottish ale before or if you prefer malt heavy beers.

Though I've had better, this Is a solid Scottish Ale. It has a nice light mouthfeel and is definitely drinkable with ease. Finishes with a sort of buttery taste that is fantastic, especially with the free pretzels they have on hand. Overall it's a good, sessionable beer, but it does have some minor faults.

Cold from the tap a deep brown to a shaped pint with a full finger tan head leaving little lace.
Subtle smoky, chocolate powder aroma.
Medium bodied, medium carbonation, smoky undefined chocolate malts, a little toffee, a little bit of a mess as it warms up. Average, at best.
Drinkable.
