Note: A five to ten min. walk from Ushiku station in Ibaraki Prefecture. A good place to hit especially for those in the area for hitachino. This is the same company and same recipes as their sister brewery in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture.
A - A small elegant restaurant is part of the "chateaux" complex. Seats about 50 comfortably. Not really a pub feel more like a nice dinner and movie type place. Beer is just one part of the chateaux's business. They
make wine too and get lots of money by holding wedding receptions on their small campus-like grounds.
Quality/ selection- beers are all pleasant but uncomplicated and unremarkable. There is a seasonal Christmas bock worth mentioning and an all-tear dunkel that is fine. Has mostly German style lagers.
S - quick attentive polite as if they are afraid you will hurt them. In short standard for japan. Above average for most of the world.
F - small potion German teamed foods. My personal favorite was the homemade lamb sausage. Stews and potatoes also nice. All very dangerously expensive. If you come expecting to get sauced up prepapre to leave poor.
