Black Fox ... It was what everyone at Bristol was talking about. A seperate brewery, founded by a former Bristol brewer, making "belgian inspired" beers (which ultimately appears to be a bunch of saisons and saison blends), brewed at the Bristol plant, and served on guest taps in the Bristol brewpub.
"At first taste, one could maybe mistake DCMW for a Belgium Wit but take a minute to truly taste this fantastic saison and you'll discover it's a whole lot better than a mere wit."

The Bristol "What's on Tap" page similarly pitches this beer as a "Saison/Wit" (http://www.bristolbrewing.com/our_beers.asp?brs_id=56). Ultimately, this just ends up being a pretty straight-forward wit (most similar to Avery's White Rascal) with just a hint at funkhousiness in the mouth, and none in the nose.
L: Hazy Yellow with a half-finger white soapy head. Dissipates quickly and without a trace.
S: Light sweetness with lots of wheat. Citrus, corriander and general zestiness. Not getting any of the claimed Saison here.
T: Straight wheat up front, with a strong-ass funky middle. Doesn't stick around long, but hints at pollen and coriander. Finish is citrus soapitude (right back into the wheat wheelhouse).
D: Refreshing and simple. Good wheat. Now were this to be rated as a saison ...
