Maybe this beer needs to age. As i am drink a bottle with a label that isn't date stamped but only has 2010 or 2011 and I get a nice fluffy head that lasts and lots of tiny carbonation bubbles on the tongue. What I don't get is any aroma, none at all. Taste is fairly weak, slight hints of dark fruit up front and then pretty much nothing. Alcohol is well hidden, but then so is everything else.

I purchased this randomly at Peluso in Montreal. I love Belgian Strong Dark Ales, so thought I'd take a chance. Upon opening, I hear absolutely no sound of carbonation - uh oh. This is confirmed on the pour, the beer is completely flat. No head whatsoever, no lacing. Pours a clear amber-brown colour. Smells of dark fruit and toasted nut with small amount of Belgian yeast. Flavour is quite mild. The beer is probably 98% flat, so the mouthfeel is close to water I guess. Fairly disappointing, I'll never purchase again.
