Nothing on the label says this is Unfiltered, but apparently this is their Czech Pils.
A: Certainly not unfiltered. Perfectly clear golden/yellow color. At first a white head rises to over two fingers. That gently recedes to a ring and some lace.
S: Grassy hops up front that intermingle with some sweet caramel and biscuit malts. A bit of bitterness lingers with a bit of mineral like lager yeast. Simple, but enjoyable.
T: Up front is the grassy hops again. Followed by a little to much sweetness for me. Again, lager like yeast flavors and a lingering bitterness.
M/D: A light to medium body. Again, maybe just a tad to sweet, which takes away from t he bone dry character that I like. Still, really enjoyable to drink. Though at 6%, just a little to high for my tastes and style.
Maybe just a bit of state bias, but Live Oak and Real Ale are king for me with their Pils. This is very good, but just a tad to sweet, as well as a little to high alcohol for me. Which is all that keeps this from being world class IMO.
