At a certain point I’m not sure what more I can add to a description of a Lagunita’s beer. It’s hoppy, with a bit of a malty backing. Sticky, dank, somewhat syrupy even. Lots of hops.

Dry and a nice bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. And I always love the color on these reds.

On-tap 1/18/2015 at Pour Farm, in New Bedford, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep coppery red color, with a large dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains floral hops, caramelized malts and some fruits.
T: The taste starts out with a strong but not over-powering hops bitterness. Then some sweet flavors of citrus and caramel come in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good hoppy representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.
