a cool wet hop beer, right down the center, nothing experimental or exotic, good malt balance, still bitter in the classic lagunitas fashion, very drinkable, not overdone with the hops, certainly not among their most robust hoppy beers, but something that drinks fresh and bright even with the malt, is rather mass appeal as the fresh hop stuff goes, and feels loaded with hop oils and volatiles, the proper palate for just picked hops. this leans a little copper colored, richer looking than anticipated, frothy headed from the tap, white lace as it drinks, not perfectly clear but nowhere near messy either, nicely carbonated. the aroma and flavor are pleasant, very fresh, and immediately well balanced by the crystal type malt richness, a little bready and even nutty at the core of it, but pine and bitter orange rise up, a little dankness, woodsy, autumnal to me, zesty though and pungent without being insanely intense, bitter but only at the end, pretty clean to finish, recognizable as a lagunitas beer i think pretty easily. it warms to grapefruit, sturdy indica, mowed hay, and sneaky key lime brightness, all exceedingly fresh, well dosed, and punchy. this is the kind of innovation i have missed from these guys of late, not that this is radical, but its ingredient focused beer outside of the core lineup that really hits, the fusion series is something they should consider resurrecting...

Clean fresh taste light body, no lacing. Taste is. Mellow hop bitterness, stamfaeberry, and citrus notes, but not much wet hop profile. Getting a little grassy notes coming off as fruity, piney hops. Body is light, and mouthfeel is missing some bitterness for an ipa

Wet hop version fall 2015. Bursting with hop juiciness herbal, pine, citrus just imagine a really great fresh ipa on steroids. Everything is bigger and bolder.

A: poured into an IPA glass to a pale gold with a three finger dense and rocky head that retains well and leaves good lacing
S: smells of citrus and pine with some slight strawberry notes. slight caramel and honey sweetness as well to provide some balance
T: taste is citrus and pine resin with some slight strawberry. caramel and honey sweetness in the middle with a little bit of herbal hop as well toward the back end. swallow is more citrus and pine with a nice honey malt sweetness on the finish. slight oily hop lingers as well
M: medium in body with soft carbonation and an oily hop finish that's a little dry
O: A great IPA from Lagunitas. Killer hop flavors and complexity with a really nice finish and there's just enough malt to keep it balanced.
