12oz bottles. Gnarly taste! and strangely good tasting with a weird hop bite and highly roasted funky malts. Kind of sweet. Full bodied mouthfeel and full flavored. Earthy, herbal, dark fruits and a bit nappy and sticky. Not dank but tangy, rich and strong. Light alcohol as beer warms. Very good in it's style. Great by the fireside.

On tap at Aces and Ales. Nice dark copper color with a thick tan head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, bread and cigar ash. Taste followed. Big smooth malt with firm bitterness. Full bodied. Awesome.

As good as Lagunitas Hairy Eye Ball is the just released vintage 2011 is better. I do not know the logistics or effects of aging this brew 4 years prior to release. However tasting them side by side on tap, this one was slightly smoother (both have the same ABV) and had a slightly different taste a tinge of a fruit like flavor.
