neat beer here, basic but tasty, this is the kind of thing lagunitas has always been excellent at, pale malt as a base, but also slightly fuller feeling for its lower alcohol content, could have some wheat in it, golden and frothy in the glass, off dry too, lightly lightly toasty on the grain side, earthy and agricultural too, but then just hoppy for the most part, clean citrus in the nose including key lime and navel orange, with some herbal and botanical character as well, juniper, spruce, maybe something culinary like sage or apple mint, but not dosed to the level of an ipa, definitely a pale type, and bitter, but the aroma and the flavor both have that sort of slightly restrained or held back thing going on, like its not quite gung ho, but i like what is here, and this is a pleasing pint no matter how much you cut it up and break it down, its easy, its flavorful, it has a relatively unique hop profile, familiar lagunitas house yeast it seems, but the parts come together cohesively, and i like the fruitiness of the hops, a little green grape, stone fruit, and more orange to close. maybe not one of their most memorable beers, but a good one nevertheless...
