a tasty and light summery pale ale made for the cubs games, but really quite versatile, sort of like the best parts of 12th of never and sumpin easy in the same beer, fruity and modern on the hop side, real minimal in terms of grain but its not watery for how light it is, and there is still a little bitterness at the end in classic lagunitas fashion, makes great sense for the context of the baseball park, but a great food beer too, really enjoyable. unfiltered looking, pale straw colored in the glass, average white head from the tap. the nose is clean citrus and even light berry to the hops, a hint of key lime and lemongrass, along with dry cereals at the base, tidy ferment, a less is more sort of thing that presents as mostly dry hopped and bright and fresh and contemporary. the flavor is similar, perhaps a little wheat in the mash there is a fluffy feeling that makes the hops come to life, and i get juicy tangerine, gin botanicals, a little mixed berry summery fruity vibe, and middle of the road bitterness on the swallow crisping it up, almost a lager mouthfeel to this which really works, great carbonation and back end dryness. its not oily or palate coating or too bold that it sticks around, and so its new and refreshing on each pull. the low alcohol is spot on too. i liked this a lot, perfect warm weather brew for hoppy beer people, well refined, brisk. yum.

Had this on tap. This was a lighter pale ale. It was crisp but there didn't seem to be a lot to it. Slightly fruity in both the smell and taste, if you try hard you may be able to pick up some blueberry. Overall it was kind of muted. I'll pass next time.

Tasted in a pint glass from draft at O'Toole's on May 7, 2019. Dry-hopped with Cashmere and experimental HBC 344 hops. Has a creamy, blueberry twang. Velvety smooth.
