On handpump at Lagunitas on February 3rd. This was brewed for SF beer week, but the bartender couldn't give me much more info than that.
Appearance: Medium-dark copper with fairly good clarity and a dense, ultra-rich head that leaves sticky lacing down the sides of the glass.
Smell: Massive marijuana aroma. Dank and fruity, tropical notes of guava and pineapple. Just a touch of malty sweetness.
Taste & mouthfeel: Great, but a very slight letdown from the awesome nose. Mildly sweet and malty at first, before the tropical fruit and herbal/marijuana flavors take over. Tons of weed, resin, guava, pineapple. Finishes sticky and bittersweet, with amazing lingering tropical fruit flavors. Alcohol is well disguised, but catches up with you quickly; this must be in the 10% range. Quite the excellent beer, by far the best I've had from Lagunitas.
