Imbibed at Good Karma on 10/10/12, reviewed from notes.
Completely clear pale yellow with little head. Signature Lagunitas sweetness in the nose, a little bit of spiciness. I can't tell if there's Belgian or American yeast since there's some spice, but not as much as I would expect from a Belgian. I get a light flavor to start, some definite wheatiness with some light spice from the yeast. Lagunitas' patented sweet malt is mixed in, but I'm not put off by it the way I thought I would be. I'm usually not a fan of sweetness and wheat, but this isn't sweetness added by syrup or concentrate, so I guess that helps. the burp signifies some hoppiness, but it's easy on the tongue. This is well balanced in the feel and finish.
I liked this more than I thought I would, but it's not a special kind I beer like their SF Fusion was last year. Also, I would categorize this as an American Crystal Wheat due to the appearance and hop presence.
