On-tap at the soruce, listed at 5% ABV. On to the beer:
Lighter colored for a dark O-fest. It's like a pale brownish copper. The small head on top drops away quick and doesn't leave any lace around. The nose is rather light, with bread crust and a faint maltiness among the highlighted aromas. In the mouth, it starts off "green" and a little husky, but then the malt begins to do its work of providing some fair amounts of toasted dark bread and a faint caramel note. Still, it's on the lighter side for the style.
A decent O-fest for that time of year. While this is nothing amazing, you can find worse representations of the style.

Sampled on 9/24/2010 on the way to the kennel in San Bernardino.
Orange/red color, hazy, offwhite head, decent retention/lace/head. Could get more points for more clarity, it's supposed to be a clean lager. Maybe try lagering.
Aroma is surprisingly citrusy, like American hops. Carmel, malt, and grape come out too.
Flavor is orange-like, sweet, slight cardboard, over all kind of German plus citrus.
Body is light/medium and enjoyable if not completely to style.
Tick.
