This unfiltered Bohemian Keller Pils, named for the Lager Beer Riot of 1855, features premium malts, Zuper Saazer hops, and soft natural carbonation. Pour slow and raise a toast to your Opa. (4-Pack 16oz Cans)
Riot Background Story: Riot Bohemian Keller Pils honors the story of Chicago’s first civil unrest - the Lager Beer Riots of 1855. Immigrant tavern owners and beer drinkers from neighborhoods across the city marched downtown to protest raised liquor license fees and the closing of bars on Sundays. As marchers approached the Chicago River, the Mayor ordered the swing bridges closed, trapping protesters on the Clark Street Bridge.

Canned 4/20/22; drank 6/21/22 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy eggshell head; almost no lace.
Fresh corn, orange peel & faint wheat notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Fresh corn, orange peel & faint wheat flavors.
Rustic and tasty. I'd have another!

Clear, golden body; excellent carbonation; fairly thin yet persistent head, white and dense. Pleasing herbal nose with some rounded esters. Light malt base taste with a fine complementary hop bitterness. Light to medium mouthfeel; crisp; initial delicate sweetness that ends with a feathery dryness.
This is a pretty straightforward keller pils. No frills yet tasty and refreshing.

Nicely balanced hop, malt, and yeast flavors in this lager. Saltine Crackers, cereal grains, & buttermilk biscuits for the malt. Light fruity yeast. Lightly bitter floral hops. Again the balance is really nice and the beer drinks very well. Tastes like it was brew in Europe. Light bodied and little bit of dryness in the finish.
Revolution calls this a Bohemian Kellerbier. So I am guessing that this is a cross between a Kellerbier and a Bohemian Pilsner? Well Whatever it is... Its really a delicious unfiltered lager. Another example showing that Revolution is such a great brewery; they can pull off such a nice crispy beer and they have the best barrel program in Chicago. Really Revolution can pull off most any style that they set there sight on.

Learned some history drinking this one, indeed, cheers Opa! Mostly clear golden body with visible carbonation and white head. Pilsner malt meets the keller botanicals and straw in the nose with complimentary lemon and grains. Taste is much the same with some emerging cracker to join the general pilsner malt, while having an almost minty on the finish. Botanicals textures swirl on the palate with drier malt and grains, decently crisp

Pours a mostly, but not perfectly clear burnished gold color. Thin white head forms on the beer as its being poured and then dissipates straight away. A thin splotch of foam remains on top of the beer.
Aroma has notes of sweet bread, light grainy notes, floral and grassy hop notes, a hint of honey and dried straw.
Taste follows the nose with notes of sweet bread and cracker malts, hints of sweet honey, floral, grassy hops. A bit sweet, but not overly so.
Feel is light, soft, and smooth with crisp carbonation. Its an easy dinking lager for sure.
Overall, its a nice pilsner, a solid representation of the style and an incredibly enjoyable beer to drink.

Transparent orange-brown in appearance with less than half a finger of head, no retained lacing. Cracker-dominant, with moderate malt sweetness near the finish. Slight lemon on the after-taste. Not particularly crisp, with low hop character.
