Insipid and unpleasant light lager. Ingredients include "kukoricadara" which is corn grits, so I call it an Adjunct Lager.
Tasted from the half litre can bought in Budapest. Looks okay in the glass; pale golden color. Aroma is slightly beery and not bad. Taste is very thin with a sharp, harsh flavor. No trace of malt. So thin it just tastes like bitter water.
"Villagos Sur" means light beer, and it is. Light, I mean. Beer is debatable. Water would be a better drink even if you were really thirsty. Named for Rákóczi Ferenc, a Hungarian revolutionary.
